I didn't found the tiles I was looking for at the stocksales at Emery in Brussels. But I did find great colours and textures.

I love the collages of Katrien Debauwer; the atmophere, the materials, the compositions. There is a book with here collages "I do not want to disappear silently into the night". 

I think I want to have it......

I enjoyed the exhibition of Mark Rothko in the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag with mixed feelings. There was a great tension between an exhibition that everybody wants to see and artwork that needs silence and no crowd!  It's difficult to be contemaplative with lots of people around you. 

But afterwards I was inspirerd to play with colours.

I was intrigued by this image the firts time I saw it. It wil hang in my house for a while. I borrowed it from 'Kunst in Huis' an organisation where you can loan art. The photografer is Veronieka Pot. She has an exhibition in Antwerp right now! I will take  a look, I'm curious about the rest of the images.

I got these two photographs from Jessica Allard and the 'scrapexchange'. 

I don't know if I can make a collage with these. They are good as they are.

The exhibition in the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam of Marlene Dumas is closed. I love her paintings but was very inspired by her early drawings. This work is called 'broken sentences'.

 I lover this colourful  work of  Junko Yamamoto. She could have been inspired by Matisse but she is inspired by...........

"Because her mother was involved in handicraft work at home, Junko grew up observing her mother's sewing, their home full of material. One day, she picked up some pieces of felt in her favorite colors and surprised her family by suddenly starting appliques. Her themes include food, kitchen gadgets, hardware etc. She remembers these artifacts of everyday life or from art books or magazines, and cuts them from felt fabrics without any hesitation. Instead of verbal communications that are not her strength, Junko presents a "felt" world of felts."
